No. 3 Louisville continued its unbeaten start to ACC play Thursday night, overcoming a determined California team to secure a 3-1 victory at L&N Federal Credit Union Arena in Louisville, Kentucky.
The Cardinals won 25-17, 25-17, 23-25, 25-18, improving to 15-2 overall and 5-0 in conference play. California dropped to 12-4 overall and 2-3 in the ACC after pushing Louisville through a competitive four-set battle.
Middle blocker Brooke Bultema led Louisville with a season-high 13 kills while hitting an outstanding .750, helping the Cardinals remain undefeated in conference competition.
Louisville also delivered its strongest blocking performance of the season, recording 15 team blocks while holding California to a .130 hitting percentage.
Louisville Takes Control of Opening Set
The opening set began with both teams trading points as California attempted to challenge one of the nation's highest-ranked programs.

Together, the Cardinals finished with 47 kills on a .290 hitting percentage, along with 55 digs and four service aces.
